masks and roles

Something inside us makes us wear masks when we are around other people or in certain circumstances. Sometimes it is very justified. And there is always a situation when the mask we put on in advance does not really fit the situation. Why does this happen?

Constantly changing masks, playing different roles, we can forget the basis (the true "I"), on which we try on all the diversity. It becomes scary and fear, in turn, pushes us to new mistakes.

This can lead to exhaustion, as it takes a lot of energy to hide our true selves. We may also experience depression, loneliness, or anxiety about someone finding out who we really are.

If we find this feeling, then it may be worth talking to a psychologist, a loved one. Think about new strategies for overcoming fears and anxieties.
